The secret is in the details.
If you're interested in knowing who the owner of this here fanlisting collective is (it's me, silly! But for posterity's sake...), or how this site came and comes to be, you're on the right page.omg it's a website!
About the domain: Slightly-Bonkers.Net was registered on the 5th day of the 10th month of the 2005th year of our lovely modern civilisation. Loosely translated: October 5th, 2005. ;)About the collective: Named "Like Whoa!" (for as long as I've owned fanlistings, I've planned for it to be called that. There's no hidden meaning being the title. Just something that came to me and demanded to be used; I do like to think it represents my excitement over topics I build fanlistings for, too), it was opened for general viewing in October, 2005. A very exciting moment for me, definitely!
About the layout: The layout you're currently viewing is version 2, featuring this drawing by the inestimable Yukipon. Early 2006, I fell face-first back into the 'Harry Potter' fanfiction blackhole. Snarry will always be my uncontested OTP, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to splash a fine example of the pairing all over my website. Who can blame me, really? *daydreams*
your overlord and leader
Hello, hello, and hello again! My name's Apprentice (... well, it's not really. My Christian name's Naomi [oh, look, a namelisting! *shameless*], but I've gone by the online alias Apprentice for over four years now, and that's how I like it) and I'll be your moderator during your stay here.I'm a 20 year old Australian girl, with a keen interest in reading, music, movies, and anything else that can distract me from the everyday monotony of my odd little life.
My biggest fandom interests are 'The Lord Of The Rings' (book and movies) and 'Harry Potter' (mostly books, but undoubtedly movies, too), though I also have an extreme love for the Vampire Chronicles (does everything I read have an accompanying movie these days?) by Anne Rice, anything by John Marsden, and Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld' series which is just spectacular, as well as Christopher Paolini's 'Inheritance Trilogy' which is really quite captivating. I'm a big fantasy/horror fan in case you didn't manage to catch that!
And then there's music, of course. I couldn't possibly give you a list of musicians or groups that I enjoy, or we'd be here until the end of time (plus my memory suks, so nyeh). Music, to me, isn't something for categorising (maybe that's just because I can't indentify genres for the life of me, but w0tev!). It's simply something that appeals to a core in me deeply moved by sound and words alone. I can only pray I never lose it.
I'm not the kind of person who dislikes pop, for example, for the sake of disliking pop, so people who come to me with that attitude are rarely people I'll keep around.
There's no more shame in liking something by Britney Spears than there is in liking something by The Beatles. As soon as people realise that, the world will be a less divided place.
My next subject of love... *sighs dreamily* We've drifted to a much more visual/physical adoration now (be assured it's not just that kind of love, though), I should probably warn you.
After being involved in the LotR movie fandom for many years, there are certain actors and actresses that I've become very attached to, for this reason and that reason.
One of those people is Orlando Bloom (*cough*). Another is Elijah Wood (*hack*), and so is Dominic Monaghan. All three of these beautiful men strike cords in me that no other actor has managed to. There's the base physical attraction that can't be denied (anyone who tries to is only fooling themself. :P), but there's also something very special and unique in all three of them that makes them irresistible. It's their charm, their humour, their almost-but-not-quite innocence. It's everything that makes them them that I love more than I probably should. :D
Then there's my long-time girl-crush, Liv Tyler (*wheeze*). What can I truly say about her? She is the epitome of feminine beauty. She's not a waif, an image that an actress would normally be asked to conform to in Hollywood, and yet she's utterly perfect. There's something very real, precious even, about Liv, and if she ever loses it, my heart will break, for the world will have lost a most special human being.
So there you have it. Long-winded and rambly, yes, but I just thought I should try to explain why I make the fanlistings I do. And while these only cover perhaps my most intense of loves, I have a lot of love to go around. Some people probably think me insincere in my decalarations, but I can't imagine why a person can only be expected to love one or two things very deeply. :(
To sum me up, you could say I'm a girl of all senses. I love with my eyes, my ears, and my heart. That won't ever change.

Version 1 of Like Whoa! featured Orlando Bloom looking very, very pink, and was in use from the opening of this website until December 22nd, 2006:
